Vivek Mandir School, Gondia aims for quality education to each & every student. We strive for excellence in all the endeavors so as to set new bench marks for us.
VISION:
Vivek Mandir aims to provide its students an environment to discover their abilities and to groom them in such a way that they can utilize their IQ at their best. Simultaneously we want to inculcate human values in our students to make them responsible citizens and good human beings.
OUR MISSION:
To provide proper environment for physical, mental, emotional and psychological growth of the children for their holistic development.
To develop a true standard of morality, culture and character, in the students.
To give them a strong feeling to contribute and respect for the country.
To prepare them as per the need of the industry and society, they must have respect for dignity of labour.
To make them lifelong learners.
STAFF:
We have well qualified and well trained facilitators who are ready to accept all the challenges. During this pandemic, our staff has left no stone unturned to make the new learning system very comfortable for students.
ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION:
“Action speaks louder than words”. Vivek Mandir School believes this. With the motto of each one, plant one, we provide every student and every staff a plant sapling on his/her birthday.
This session due to pandemic, we have motivated students to plant the sapling in their homes.
EPTA:
EPTA meeting is held on a regular basis. Parents provide valuable feedback and suggestions to the teachers and teachers provide them with academic word done. All the changes which may be required are informed to the EPTA members.
COMPETITIONS AND ACTIVITIES:
The school has conducted various competitions like handwriting, drawing, colouring, Poem recitation, essay writing in virtual mode.
TRAININGS AND WEBINARS:
As per every year, the school conducted training programmes and webinars for teachers.
Teachers have participated in all the mandatory workshops by CBSE. Online counseling for students was also done.
EDUCATIONAL AND FIELD TRIPS:
Learning by doing is a great way to learn. This session due to the pandemic students were not taken to educational and field trips.
But wherever possible through youtube links, teachers have given them the feel of educational tours virtually.
ONLINE STUDY DURING COVID – 19
The session saw a switch from physical to virtual classes i.e. online classes at home. Vivek Mandir school has used MS Team platform for virtual teaching. We have formed whatsapp group section wise for students. All the PDF related to notes, notices, home work & assignment were sent to students and parents in whatsapp group or to individual parent as per the need.
The school has conducted online One-O-One PTM also.
ASSESSMENT:
All the assessments were done virtually. Parents and students were given the time table and syllabus 15 days before the exam. Projects and activities which are part of assessment were also conducted virtually.
SMC ACTIVITIES:
The school managing committee announced that there will be no increase in the fees for this session. This announcement was made before the governments order of not to increase fees. Apart from this, the school managing committee has given a huge discount of 50% in the school fees viewing the pandemic situation. This decision of management was cheered by all the parents.
All the guidelines given by government regarding online classes due to Covid – 19 pandemic was shared by the school management. RTPCR tests of all the staff coming to school was also done.
CONCLUSION:
The session 2020-21 was a paradigm shift for schools. This session was also instructive for the teachers in many new ways. Adapting to online classes, keeping a more open mind while assessing students, communicating and convincing parents for the new mode of learning was not that easy.
But we are thankful to all our parents who have immensely supported us to cope up with this challenge.
